EDUCATIONAL LICENSES

Licenses for educational institutions are provided at a reduced cost. First Online (M) Sdn Bhd reserves the right to deny or rescind licenses to institutions that it does not see as legitimate; generally all domains with an .edu extension can apply for this license.  Educational licenses can only be purchase directly from First Online (M) Sdn Bhd and a site visit maybe carried out before licensed is issued. 

ELIGIBLE INSTITUTIONS

Only official EDUCATIONAL institutions are eligible to obtain educational licenses. This includes: Universities, colleges, scientific and technical schools, vocational schools, high schools, learning centres and private schools (accreditation on the part of nationally recognized accrediting agency or the Government recognized )

EDUCATIONAL LICENSE REGULATIONS

Commercial uses of the software/ online software provided by First Online (M) Sdn Bhd under The Educational License is prohibited. Educational License is ONLY available for non-commercial, accredited EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION and its staffs/employers/employees.

Use of the software/online software is highly restricted to the teaching and learning. Commercial use of the software/online software is considered as commercial application. Therefore, it is forbidden under Educatinal License policy.

Only accredited educational institutions and staffs/employers/empoyees of accredited educational institutions are eligible for Educational Licenses.

NON-PROFIT LICENSES

Licensing is available for organizations registered under Registrar of Society as a non-profit organization. This licensing is at a reduced cost of normal licensing. You must be able to prove non-profit status.

Example of non-profit organizations that qualify to apply : association, NGO & club. 

NON-PRPFIT LICENSE REGULATIONS

An Non-Profit License (NPL) is ONLY assigned to ONE person and applied to a single non-profit party. Registration of multiple licenses is not allowed as doing so may lead to the risk of license suspension.

The NPL is highly restricted to the use of non-commercial only. This license allows the software user/developer to use the software for ONE non-commercial Internet website/application.

Commercial use of software/online software provided by First Online (M) Sdn Bhd under NPL is prohibited.
